Difficult Surfaces

Strong adhesion on lacquered and coated surfaces.

Difficult surface applications cover bonding on lacquered, coated, UV-varnished and low surface energy packaging materials. These surfaces do not absorb the adhesive, so the bond forms far more weakly than it does on plain board.

Here the adhesive has to key into a closed surface, hold that bond once it has cooled, and never let the pack spring open. Powermelt® polyolefin and reactive PUR hot melts give strong adhesion on low surface energy materials.
