Clean, uninterrupted bonding on curved profiles.
Curved edge banding covers the edges of curved and profiled panels, and is far more demanding than banding a straight edge. Because the contact area narrows along the curve, the initial grab of the adhesive, its open time and its even distribution along the edge decide the quality of the finish.
What the adhesive has to deliver here is a band that follows the curve without tension, corners that do not lift, and a glue line that stays thin. Powermelt® EVA and polyolefin hot melts give a balanced open time on manual and low-speed banding machines, while PUR hot melts are chosen for edges that must resist heat and moisture.
B.E.S. Kimya produces curved edge banding adhesives matched to different machine speeds and band types, so that PVC, ABS, melamine and veneer bands run cleanly around curved edges.
