Perfect binding joins book and magazine signatures by bonding them along the spine. How many times the book can be opened and closed depends on the flexibility of the spine adhesive and its grip on the paper.
The adhesive has to grip every single page, must not crack when the book is opened and must not turn brittle with age. Powermelt® EVA hot melts serve economical volume production, while reactive PUR products are used for thin papers and bindings that must last.
