Adhesives

PVA Emulsion Adhesives

Safe, odorless and environmentally friendly bonding solutions based on water-based dispersion technology.

Description

From wood to packaging, water-based dispersions for safe and clean production.

Water-based adhesives are dispersion adhesives obtained by dispersing polymer particles in water, forming a film after application as the water evaporates or is absorbed into the substrate. As they contain no solvents, they are odorless and safe, and can be used comfortably in enclosed production areas.

Aquasive water-based adhesives deliver reliable performance across a wide range of applications, from wood assembly and lamination to paper, packaging, and labeling. PVAc, VAE, and polyurethane dispersion (PUD) technologies provide solutions for different water resistance classes and flexibility levels.

Drawing on its production strength in emulsion polymerization, B.E.S. Kimya develops and manufactures water-based adhesives at its own facilities, offering viscosity and drying profiles tailored to your application.

Advantages

Why PVA Emulsion Adhesives?

Environment- and worker-friendly

Solvent-free; its low emissions make it safe to use in enclosed spaces.

Odorless, clean application

Produces no unpleasant odor during application; equipment cleans up easily with water.

Transparent, flexible film

Dries to an invisible glue line and retains its flexibility for a long time.

Water resistance classes

Offers solutions for different water resistance requirements, from D1 through D4.

Wide range of applications

Provides reliable adhesion on wood, paper, cardboard, textile and foil surfaces.

Easy application

Easily adapted to different lines with roller, curtain, spray and brush application.

Types

PVA Emulsion Adhesives technologies

PVAc

PVAc Dispersion Adhesives

Polyvinyl acetate technology, the standard for wood assembly and lamination. Available in D1–D4 water resistance classes, it offers short pressing times and strong final bond strength.

VAE

VAE Dispersion Adhesives

Vinyl acetate–ethylene copolymer technology; with its flexible film and broad adhesion range, it is preferred in foil lamination, paper and packaging applications.

PUD

Polyurethane Dispersion (PUD) Adhesives

With one- and two-component options, it delivers high heat and moisture resistance in 3D lamination and membrane press applications, forming a uniform bond on challenging geometries.
