PUR Dispersion Adhesives
Flexible adhesives offering high heat and moisture resistance through water-based polyurethane dispersion technology.
The standard for membrane press and 3D lamination: water-based polyurethane dispersions.
Polyurethane dispersion (PUD) adhesives are solvent-free, water-based systems obtained by dispersing polyurethane polymer in water. After application, they form a film as the water is released; with heat activation or the addition of a crosslinker, they reach considerably higher strength levels.
Aquasive polyurethane adhesives have been developed for applications where the surface must conform to a shape, such as membrane pressing, 3D lamination, foil wrapping, and textile lamination. Their flexible film structure forms a uniform bond on complex geometries without cracking or whitening.
Used as a one-component system, they offer a practical and economical solution, while adding a crosslinker for two-component use markedly increases heat and moisture resistance. With its emulsion polymerization infrastructure, B.E.S. Kimya manufactures these products at its own facilities and offers viscosity, activation temperature, and open time profiles tailored to your application.
Why PUR Dispersion Adhesives?
High heat resistance
Heat activation and cross-linking deliver top-level temperature resistance in a water-based system.
Flexible, crack-free film
Conforms to three-dimensional surfaces and sharp corners without whitening.
Solvent-free
Its water-based formulation is odorless and safe to use in enclosed production areas.
Controlled open time
Activation temperature and open time can be adjusted to the speed of your line.
Broad surface compatibility
Delivers reliable adhesion on MDF, PVC foil, ABS, textile and composite surfaces.
One- or two-component
Resistance levels can be raised by adding a cross-linker as needed.
PUR Dispersion Adhesives technologies
One-Component PUD
Ready-to-use dispersions. With no mixing and no pot-life constraints, they are suitable for lamination applications requiring moderate heat and moisture resistance.
Two-Component PUD (with Cross-Linker)
Used by mixing with an isocyanate-based cross-linker. It raises heat, moisture and chemical resistance to the highest level and is preferred in kitchen and bathroom applications.
Heat-Activated PUD
Systems that bond by being activated with heat after drying. They provide a controlled, repeatable process on membrane press and vacuum lamination lines.
